I have found that I am much more comfortable behind the camera as opposed to in front. However, I needed a trailer video for the front page of my website that introduced myself. I am planning to change the content monthly, and hopefully feature my partner in the next series of videos, leaving me on the sidelines. So, here is my 30 second trailer that currently resides on my website. Enjoy and keep the laughter to a minimum!

Today, a new Towne Lake real estate team was announced at Prudential Georgia Realty. Beth Campbell and Peter den Boer announced the formation of The Community Realty Group, a team dedicated to providing neighborhood information along with real estate services. Both long time residents of the Towne Lake area, these agents began collaborating about 6 months ago and launched TowneLakeRealEstate.com, a website devoted to the Towne Lake area. On this website can be found a business directory, listings of all Towne lake Restaurants, community home searches, community video clips, and much more on the individual communities that make up Towne Lake. These agents are devoted to bringing state-of-the-art technology to the area sellers including full motion narrated video, mobile texting, and many more technologies for todays buyers and sellers. Watch for the community newsletters being distributed throughout the community which gives data on recent home sales as well as tips and information about Towne Lake. The motto for this new team is, “It’s not just Real Estate…It’s a community!”

It has happened! I finally decided to work with another agent, Beth Campbell, in my office, not as a team but in a collaboration that is new and exciting. I bring the technology to the party and Beth brings the word phrasing and great ideas. Together we feel as though we have a lot to offer to the Towne lake area, and this new website is just the ticket to prove it!
This new site will allow you to see what is happening in the various neighborhoods, check out the rental section as well as Restaurant guide and business directory. If you see something that you would like to have on the site, drop me an email and let me know.
Please go check out TowneLakeRealEstate.com and let me know what you think. This will become the pioint source for everything that is going on in the communities that make up Towne Lake. Beth and I will be working on delivering the best of our Real Estate knowledge to Towne Lake in the hopes that we can become the premier agents to work with. I could not believe it! Home Videos like I have been doing for over a year now finally hit the main stream! Good Morning America ran a story about Realtors who use videos in selling homes. I thought this was great so I have a link for you to follow to read this short story. It is raining today. It is cold, windy and nasty. This is the first rain we have had in quite some time and we really needed the rain. With a deficit of over 11 inches of rain this year the yards have had a tough time keeping up. So, I guess out of the miserable conditions of today comes some good. (more…)

Freddie Mac, a publicly traded company that operates under a federal charter, is the nation’s second-largest mortgage buyer. Along with its larger rival, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac was taken over by the federal government on Sept. 8, 2008, as it faced steepening losses, new questions about its accounting and a flight by investors.
Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae buy mortgages from lending institutions and then either holds them in investment portfolios or resells them as mortgage-backed securities to investors. The two companies play a vital role in providing financing for the housing markets. (more…)

The following text was taken from a letter I sent the other day to a home owner looking to sell his home. I addressed several issues in the letter that keep coming up and I thought it might be of interest to my blog visitors.
My good friend Ron Kulesa notified me this week that you may be thinking of selling your home. While these are challenging times for home sellers, the national media attention on the sub prime mortgage mess has certainly been over blown.
Home prices in the Atlanta area have been negatively impacted over the past two years, but not nearly as badly as other parts of the country. However, all we hear about are the startling numbers being generated nationally. Real Estate is still a regional business and our local markets did not balloon as high nor will they sink as low as many other areas of the country. (more…)
